RiseNkap

Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know about raising funds and contributing on RiseNkap.

Is my money safe?

Contributions are processed through licensed mobile money operators — RiseNkap never holds your card details or wallet PIN. Funds raised for a campaign are tracked in a segregated ledger, kept separate from RiseNkap's own service revenue.

What is a njangui / tontine circle?

A rotating savings circle: every member contributes the same share each cycle, and members take turns receiving the full pot. RiseNkap tracks who has paid, rotates the beneficiary automatically, and gives every member an on-time payment score.

Do project backers become shareholders?

No. Reward-based projects give backers a non-financial thank-you reward (early access, a mention, a product) — never equity, shares, or a financial return.

Which mobile money providers are supported?

Support depends on your country and currency — major mobile money operators (MTN, Airtel, and others) are supported where RiseNkap is available. The right options are shown automatically when you contribute.

What fees does RiseNkap charge?

See our Pricing page for the current, transparent fee structure — any applicable fee is always shown before you confirm a payment.

Can I use RiseNkap from Telegram or WhatsApp?

Yes — the same assistant that lives on the website is also available as a Telegram bot, with WhatsApp coming next. You can create a fundraiser or contribute from either channel.

Why do you ask for identity verification?

Identity verification (KYC) protects everyone on the platform against fraud, and higher-value or higher-risk activity (like running a tontine) requires a higher verification tier — this is standard practice for any platform moving real money.
